Winter in Westport, what’s it really like?

What do you do if it’s raining in Westport? This is a question we hear often. Given that Westport is situated right on the Pacific Ocean, it should come as no surprise that our weather can sometimes be unpredictable. We have a saying here, “It’s always sunny in Westport!”. One might think that’s a joke, making light of the fact that it’s not often sunny here.

“If you don’t like the weather in Westport, wait a minute!”

Interestingly, we have many sunny days and moments here in Westport. We are rarely rained out for an entire day. Storms come in and then move past us, there might be another one on the horizon, but you can enjoy the hour or two of sunshine until the next squall passes by us. We have spectacular sunrises and sunsets that make you forget about getting caught in the rain, and we have gorgeous bluebird sunny days. If you don’t like the weather in Westport, wait a minute!
